My approach is warm, client-centred, compassionate, collaborative and trauma-informed.

I am committed to providing a non-judgmental, compassionate and collaborative experience. I appreciate how complicated many situations can be, often with competing and confusing thoughts, emotions and experiences. I can hold all of these competing parts and motivations without making assumptions based on part of the story.

I trust my clients as experts in their lives who know what they need, be it coping skills and strategies, exploration of the past or problem solving for the future. I work with clients to develop a plan for therapy to meet their goals drawing from evidence-based models and treatments including:

  • Trauma-focused therapies, including EMDR, Flash, and TF-CBT

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Emotion-Focused Therapy and Emotional-Focused Skills Training for Parents

  • Somatic, body-based therapies

  • Mindfulness

  • Attachment therapy

  • Feminist psychotherapy

  • Parts work

  • motivational interviewing

  • solution-focused therapy

I hold in mind the many and profound ways that systemic structural violence, power, and stigma impact people’s lives, health and mental health. My practice is rooted in anti-oppression, harm-reduction, and recovery orientation.

I have experience with, and am committed to working with, a diverse clientele. I welcome individuals and families from all walks of life and am committed to incorporating an understanding and appreciation of clients’ realities (including race, culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, and religion) into treatment. I have experience working with adoptive and foster families.
